As it stands, NetherRealm hasn't actually announced its next video game, so fans will just have to stay tuned for more information. After all, Mortal Kombat 9 started the reboot story that concluded with Mortal Kombat 11, so remastering it would help bring it to all modern platforms and make it easier for fans to experience the full story. Mortal Kombat 9 would also make a lot of sense. The same can be said for Mortal Kombat 2, though one would think that a remaster of that game would be better served packaged together with the other old-school MK titles in a Mortal Kombat trilogy collection. Shaolin Monks offers a unique co-op experience for Mortal Kombat fans, whereas Deception is generally considered one of the best games in the series. There would be some merit to remastering any of these games.
